It's Sunday, and the church went to Starbucks

I know this little part of the church had a great morning eating breakfast down in the village with my daughter and my husband, enjoying a quick trip into Starbucks, then spending some time in the park on the playscape and wading in the river. It was about 70 degrees out with a slight breeze. No one had to nudge me to keep me awake, my stomach wasn't growling waiting for a service to get over, I wandered in and out of quiet conversation with the Lord about my husband and his employment prospects, some of my kids who aren't home today, the people next to me in Starbucks, and a friend who is very ill. My thoughts of the Word weren't on a preprinted handout. I believe that my relationship with the Lord is more down-to-earth and real than ever before and I don't set aside a big portion of time to "be with the Lord" these days. I am with Him every minute, and I'm enjoying "practicing" that presence.
